  • Your sauna crate will arrive curbside via liftgate within a 3 hour window of the time you chose.
  • Please do not assist the driver with offloading the sauna crate from the truck.

  • Our saunas are a 4-6 hour DIY build out.(non electrical)
  • We recommend a minimum of two people to build the sauna, but ideally there are three people.
  • At least one person should have basic DIY or carpentry skills. A handyman and assistant would also make quick work of the sauna build out.
  • Review the sauna installation videos and refer to the installation manual while building out the sauna.

Electric Work

  • With your electrician referencing our electrical install guidelines, have them wire up the temperature sensor, remote, main module, and heater while concealing all wiring with the provided wood cable channels.
  • The electrician hardwires the electrical line from your electrical panel to the main module to power on the sauna.

Sauna Heater Rocks

Carefully, but loosely place the provided sauna rocks to cover all the coils and fill up the heater. Refer to the installation manual for this step.

Crate Disposal

  • Breakdown crate into manageable sections and dispose on garbage day. Ask handyman to cut down the crate for easier disposal. Another option, if viable, is to burn the crate.

Using your SISU

  • One simple click of your controller will turn on your sauna. The dial can be turned right or left to adjust the temperature. The temperature can be set between 120F to 230F for HUUM and 120F to 194F for Homecraft Heaters. We recommend 180-200F for the best experience.
  • The automatic heating period is three hours at which point it will automatically shut off.

Connecting Your SISU to WIFI

  • Download the HUUM app on your iOS or Android device.
  • Refer to the sticker on your main module for the sauna ID code and other information.
  • On the remote, press and hold the dial down for 10-15 seconds to access the menu. Select WIFI settings, select your network underneath SSID, enter the password, and let it connect. (2.4 GHZ WIFI connection only)
  • You may then turn on or schedule your sauna remotely.

Maintaining Your Sauna

  • Remove any debris with a shop vac or a broom.
  • We recommend rinsing down your sauna on an as-needed basis with a hose or power wash.
  • A soft-bristled brush can be used to remove stubborn dirt or debris.
  • If you have a barrel sauna, tighten the straps every 1-2 months in the initial half year, then check quarterly.
  • Every six months, it is recommended to rearrange stones and check for cracked stones, which should be removed.
  • Sauna sealant is recommended for use on bench surfaces (can purchase on our site)
  • Water marks can arise over time and does not render the sauna unusable. These marks can be removed with sandpaper.
